2018 PLAS Jingle Bell 5K / Fun Run

The 2018 PLAS Jingle Bell 5K/Fun Run is a special projects fundraiser.

In an effort to create an environment that is most conducive to learning, Mr. Jeremy Mathews is attempting to raise money to install alternative seating, create a collaborative environment, and bring some cheer to his mathematics classroom.

Studies show that when students are comfortable and working in a collaborative environment, they are more attentive and produce higher test scores as a result.

The 2018 PLAS Jingle Bell 5K/Fun Run is a 5K and Fun Run/Walk that is open for everyone from serious runners to those who just want to take a family stroll together.

It will be held at PLAS on Saturday, December 15, beginning at 9:00 am.

There is a $25 Registration Fee that covers associated costs as well as a PLAS Jingle Bell 5K/Fun Run long sleeve t-shirt with the name and date of the event as well as all Santa’s Helper and Santa’s Star Sponsor names. Extra shirts for non-participants may be ordered for an additional $20 charge per shirt.

For those who are fun running/walking (or even those who are running the 5K), dress in your favorite holiday attire and wear jingle bells as a necklace, tied to your shoes, on your clothes, or anywhere else to spread Christmas cheer.

Registration is due no later than Monday, December 3, 2018, in order to receive a t-shirt prior to the event. Registration will still be accepted after that date all the way up to the date of the event but t-shirt orders cannot be guaranteed to arrive before the event if registering after December 3.

There are three types of sponsorships available for those wanting to contribute to the 2018 PLAS Jingle Bell 5K/Fun Run:

A Santa’s Friend Sponsorship is $50 to $100. With this sponsorship, your name or the name of your business will appear on a banner that will be at the start/finish line of the run.

A Santa’s Helper Sponsorship is $100 to $150. With this sponsorship, your name or the name of your business will appear on a banner that will be at the start/finish line of the run. In addition, your name or the name of your business will be on the back of the t-shirts runners receive for participating in the run.

A Santa’s Star Sponsorship is $150 or more. With this sponsorship, your name or the name of your business will appear on the banner that will be at the start/finish line of the run; your name or the name of your business will be on the back of the t-shirts runners receive for participating in the run; and lawn signs (that you provide or we create) with your name or the name of your business will be placed along the running path visible to all participants.

All sponsorship forms must be returned by Monday, December 3, to be included on the banner and t-shirts. Sponsorships and donations will still be gratefully accepted after that date but most likely will not have time to be included on the banner or shirts.
