Read Across America

The National Education Association's Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.

Monday, February 25, through Friday, March 1, K-4 through 4th Grade at Pike Liberal Arts School will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday with a week of dress-up days, special readings, and a birthday celebration.

The dress-up days are as follows:

Monday, February 25 - Grinchiest Green Day. Student may wear green clothing...no camouflage.

Tuesday, February 26 - Foxiest Socks Day. Students may wear their silliest socks.

Wednesday, February 27 - Wacky Wednesday. Students my wear wacky, tacky clothing...within dress code.

Thursday, February 28 - Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! Students may dress as their favorite Dr. Seuss character.

Friday, March 1 - Red & White Day. Students may wear red and white clothing...Cat in the Hat hats are acceptable if they have one.
