Pike Liberal Arts School emphasizes a well-rounded educational experience striving to meet the needs of each individual. The success of the program is built on the special relationship developed between students, parents, and faculty.

 

Early Childhood

Students who turn four years old by September 1st can participate in a developmentally appropriate preschool environment. Much emphasis is placed on social development while students gain a strong academic foundation. The Beka curriculum serves as the reading program to ensure that all preschoolers have the needed readiness skills to be successful in Kindergarten. Many hands-on activities and learning centers supplement the program.

Elementary School

Our elementary educational program is conducted to accommodate each student's unique way of learning. Pike Liberal Arts School give particular attention to readiness in all subject areas. The curriculum includes reading, language arts, spelling, handwriting, mathematics, social studies, science, health and physical education. Enrichment programs include music, foreign language, art and computer. These subjects are integrated into a total experience for all students.

Middle School

The middle school program serves as a transition between elementary school and high school in both environment and course material. The middle school operates on a seven period day. The periods are committed to academic courses, enrichment opportunities and physical education program. Junior Varsity extracurricular activities are also available to al middle school students.

High School

Pike Liberal Arts School takes pride in an academic program designed to qualify its graduates for entrance in to a college or university which best suits their needs. Students enrolled in the high school program are able to take courses in the core subjects as well as choose from a variety of electives. The students are required to earn 24 units for a Standard diploma or 25 units for an Advanced diploma.

All high school students are required to complete a minimum of 75 community service hours prior to graduation.
